NGN 2000 is a viscoelastic
sheet with very high damping, designed for constrained layer damping of
fibreglass reinforced plastic, wood or fibreglass / foam sandwich
construction. The ratio between the main FRP layer and the constraining
layer should be around 1/3.
NGN 2000 should be directly laid up in wet polyester. It will form a
very good bond with the polyester used in FRP and no separate adhesive
is needed. It can also be applied on other surfaces, like wood, and is
then glued to the surface with relatively stiff glue.
